Nick Loeb kept his mind off his breakup with Sofia Vergara in the company of mermaids and other beautiful creatures Wednesday night. Loeb was spotted partying with two friends at the opening of the “beach” at the Dream Downtown, the West 16th Street hotel’s outdoor pool area. While dancers in grass skirts and women dressed as a mermaid and an octopus trolled around the patio, a pretty blond model-type chatted up Loeb and his friends by the pool for about 20 minutes. “There was a lot of laughing and friendly behavior,” said an observer, but the girl and Loeb left the event separately.
