America's Olympic gymnast hero Gabby Douglas went from gold to last place Monday as she faltered in the final stages of her routine in the uneven bars competition, finishing in eighth place.
It was a disappointing day to an otherwise brilliant Olympics for the 16-year-old gymnast who captured two gold medals, including becoming the first African-American to win a gymnastics all-around Olympic gold. She still has the beam competition Tuesday. Last week, she was the key member for USA's contingent that captured the all-around gold in the team competition.
