Running back Joe McKnight caught a pass from third-string quarterback Greg McElroy, and was rode out of bounds by defensive back D’Anton Lynn. The play seemed like many others during a training camp practice – until McKnight turned around and fired the ball at Lynn’s head.
“That was a first,” Lynn said with a smile after practice. “That has never happened to me before, so I lost my temper for a second.”
